General
Is Poly a recycled product?
Our PolyTuf boards are manufactured by Tangent. 95% of the material in these boards is recycled content. The boards are also infused with pigment to ensure UV protection.
Is your furniture made in the USA?
Yes, our company is based in Northeast Ohio. The poly furniture we make is all manufactured in the town of Berlin, Ohio.
Do you sell retail/What is the price of your furniture?
Berlin Gardens is a Wholesale-only company. If you wish to buy our products on the retail level, please view our dealer finder to discover the store nearest to you.
Can I paint the furniture?
Poly furniture is manufactured in a way that the pigment is directly placed into the recycled plastic mixture when the lumber is forming. We do not recommend painting the furniture, because it will not likely last or maintain well.
NOTE: painting your furniture will void the warranty on the product.
Do you send out catalogs via USPS?
Yes. Please email us your request to info@berlingardensllc.com and we will gather the necessary information to send you a complimentary copy.
What grade stainless steel are your fasteners?
We use 304 Grade Stainless Steel that is “coated with an All Chrome Coating.” Through testing, we have found our fasteners to resist corrosion better than 316 Grade Stainless Steel.
Firepits
Can I put my firepit in an enclosed area?
It is safe to place your firepit in a roofed space if the ceiling is over 72″ above the top of the pit. The sides of your area should be permanently open to ensure safety. An example of such a space would be a sun porch.
How many BTUs does my firepit have?
- 20” Round Chrystal Fire Plus Burner: 55,000 BTUs
- 12” x 24” Chrystal Fire Plus Burner: 55,000 BTUs
- 12” x 42” Chrystal Fire Plus Burner: 80,000 BTUs
Maintenance
Is Poly furniture maintenance-free?
While Poly furniture is certainly less maintenance in comparison to that made of wood, it still requires regular cleaning. Luckily, the texture and coating make poly easy to clean.

Will Poly fade?
Our poly does have built-in UV protection. However, it is not an invincible material. Over the years, slight fading will happen if the furniture is continually exposed to direct sunlight over long periods.
Should I cover my poly furniture?
Our poly products are designed to handle the common weather of all 4 seasons without being covered. Covering it would still provide benefits, though. It will decrease any likelihood of the colors fading, and minimalize the amounts of dirt that your furniture could be exposed to.
Do you offer covers for your furniture?
Yes, we do have covers designed specifically for our products. You can purchase these covers through your local dealer.
Warranty
Does environmental damage qualify for a warranty? (i.e. trees falling on furniture, animal gnawing, wind damage, etc)
Acts of God and nature are not warranted by Berlin Gardens. However, if there appears to have been other causes of damage to your purchase please reach out to us.
What is needed for a warranty claim?
The first step is to contact customerservice@berlingardensllc.com with an explanation of the claim you are filing with us and proof of receipt. We do ask that pictures are sent with every claim so that the situation can be properly assessed. Please also provide your shipping address and phone number associated with your purchase.
